Rice Mechanical Engineering students Gentry Clark, Mikaela Juswik and Nathalie Philips, and Electrical and Computer Engineering student Thomas Herring will be competing on PBS’ new reality TV series “Make48.” The show will feature teams from Rice and 11 other colleges who will have 48 hours to create and idea, a prototype, and a promotional video to advance to the next round, where three teams will try to bring their products to market. The competition will be held at the Stanley Black & Decker Innovation Lab in Towson, MD.
This is a great opportunity to showcase the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit that defines Rice and the George R. Brown College of Engineering. Best of luck to the Rice team, and go get em!
